The Nordic Sprint Series is a weekly social racing series for anyone & any age, who enjoy the challenge of ski racing. The emphasis for these races is on fun and racing experience is not necessary, so give it a try!
Where will the Nordic Series take place?
The races take place the Pippy Park Nordic Centre at the trailer park in Pippy park. Pre-registration is required and will take place at the North Bank Lodge.
What time should we meet?
Register at 6:30pm. Races will start at 7:00pm sharp.
Who can participate?
ANYONE! Ski Club! We'll have both CLASSIC & SKATE events for skiers of all ages. If you're not yet a member this is the perfect reason to join the club!
What is the racing format?
The races will be divided into male and female categories and by age groups. The age groups are:
- Senior (20+) - Male & Female
- Junior – Male & Female
- Jackrabbit / Beginner - Mixed
What is the cost?
The races cost $2 per race or $10 for the full series. Cheques should be made payable to the Avalon Nordic Ski Club. Sorry, no refunds.
