The island of Newfoundland has over 10,000 miles of diverse coastline. Whether you visit the sandy beaches of the south coast, the islands of Notre Dame Bay, the spectacular fjords of the west coast, or the unforgiving cliffs of the eastern shores, we have something to offer every paddler! “The Rock”, as it is affectionately nicknamed, is the ideal location for your adventure as you can explore sea caves, view towering cliffs and sea stacks, and enjoy more wildlife than you could imagine.
In the early summer months you’ll have the opportunity to see icebergs in the absolute grandeur; you’ll observe Humpback whales as they migrate north for the season; and you’ll spy on some of the millions of sea birds who call Newfoundland home.
BAY BULLS
Bay Bulls is one of the oldest communities in Newfoundland and Labrador. The community, with a population of about 1200, still retains much of the flavour of its colourful heritage. The much prized harbour of Bay Bulls has been the site of numerious marine conflicts and pitched battles which can be attested to by the shipwrecks at the bottom of the bay and cannons at the headlands. With the recent down turn in the traditional fishery the community is rapidly becoming a tourist Mecca for individuals wishing to experience unspoiled seascapes, marine history, and icebergs, seabirds and whales.
Sea kayaking with us in Bay Bulls allows you to view the magnificent scenery and observe the sea's creatures from a unique perspective. It allows you to travel the coastline in the most relaxing yet adventurous way.
