The Ormen HV is a great touring kayak with an excellent glide and maneuvarability. This kayak is an efficient kayak that maintains speed very well and has good acceleration. The hard chine hull provides greater initial stability and good maneuverability.
Ormen series kayaks are equipped with SmartTrack rudder and retractable skeg. The Ormen kayaks are available in single-layer HDPE. Zegul 1-layer HDPE lay-up is made using only a single layer of high density polyethylene. We have upgraded our PE material so that the single layer is very stiff and durable, yet it is lighter than the other 2- or 3-layer constructions.
