We want your unwanted socks

Last year was such a huge success that we’re teaming up with Smartwool again on their Second Cut Project for another year to collect
and deconstruct hard-to-recycle socks and turn them into new goods.

All brands, colors, sizes, and materials welcome.

Join the movement by dropping them off or sending them in between
April 1st - April 30th.

How to participate:

INSTORE - Newfoundland & Labrador @ The Outfitters

Visit us during the month of April drop off your unwanted socks in the collection bin, available at both of our store locations.

ONLINE: Print Your Free Label

  • Get a free shipping label to use on any package you have at home (ex: pre-used shipping bag, enveloppe, used plastic bag - Preferably recyclable).
  • Download a pre-paid shipping label.
  • Gather your unwanted socks.
  • Attach the label on your package or save QR code if you don't have a printer
  • Drop your package at your nearest Purolator drop off.

What we are looking for:

  • Clean socks only (please)
  • All brands, colors, sizes, and materials welcome (we’re not picky)
  • No rolled or paired socks, bags, rubber bands, paper clips (just single socks)

Smartwool is giving old products new life to eliminate the need for new materials and keep perfectly good materials from being thrown away.

Let’s go green before we go far.

And close the loop together.
