At the center of the ZOLEO platform is the ZL1500, a rugged communication device designed for use beyond cell coverage. Paired with the free ZOLEO app and the MyZOLEO Portal, it creates a connected system that supports messaging, monitoring, and emergency response.
When paired with the app, ZOLEO automatically uses the best available network — cellular, Wi-Fi, or Iridium® satellite — so users stay connected without thinking about which network they are on

Seamless Global Messaging
Communicate with your Safety Circle (adventurers, loved ones, and work teams responsible for duty of care), even outside of cellular range. Send and receive messages to and from any mobile number, email address, or another user through the ZOLEO app, and enjoy a familiar texting experience from your smartphone or tablet. Stay connected with the Safety and Preparedness Platform that follows you as you move when you pair ZL1500 with the ZOLEO app. Uniquely, ZOLEO delivers a seamless experience as you move in and out of service: the ZOLEO device sends messages via satellite when you're off-grid, while the ZOLEO app uses cellular and Wi-Fi when available—so you can always count on your connection.
Iridium Connected™
Stay connected no matter where the journey takes you. When cellular/Wi-Fi coverage is unavailable, the ZOLEO device connects with the ZOLEO app on your phone and sends messages via the Iridium® satellite network, the only satellite network that provides coverage everywhere on the planet.

Share your dedicated ZOLEO SMS/text number and email address with others in your Safety Circle and enjoy seamless global messaging.
ZOLEO App for Smartphones
Unlock everything ZOLEO can do with the free ZOLEO app. Available for iPhone, Android and tablets, it brings together 2-way messaging, SOS alerting, check-ins, weather forecasts and location sharing in one simple experience. It also supports app-to-app messaging with messages over 900 characters and continues receiving messages even if your ZOLEO device is turned off or being used by someone else.
Two-way Messaging
Use the ZOLEO app to send and receive messages to and from any cell number, email address or another ZOLEO app user while enjoying a familiar texting experience.
SOS Alerting (24/7 Monitoring)
Trigger an SOS using the built-in button or app and communicate directly with the emergency response coordination centre. Receive updates throughout the incident and cancel the alert if your situation changes. An active subscription is required.
Weather Forecasts
Receive accurate, hyper-local Xweather forecasts with detailed hourly predictions for the next 44 hours and daily forecasts for the next five days.
