User Guide

1. Carbides: 17º, 20º, 25º and 30º
Used to set an edge for an extremely dull blade or to sharpen the blade in seconds when the need arises.

Holding the knife with your dominant hand, and using the other hand to hold the sharpener: pull the knife through the desired angle slot. Just three or four strokes using moderate pressure will restore your blade. Rinse blade thoroughly after sharpening.

Note: Carbide is extremely aggressive and should only be used for super quick sharpening as the need arises. For general edge maintenance: use the built-in ceramic benchstone element.

2. Ceramic Benchstone
The fine (800) grit ceramic element should be used in a benchstone type fashion, or like a butcher steel. The Ceramic Benchstone is harder than steel and can be used often as the primary sharpening element of your QuadSharp™. The Ceramic Benchstone is also tapered for sharpening serrated knives.

PRO-TIP: Extremely dull blades should be re-profiled in one of the carbide slots before using the ceramic benchstone.

Eventually metal shavings will accumulate as dark streaks on the ceramic and will slow effectiveness. Clean with a Lansky EraserBlock.

3. Sharpening Serrations
Sharpen one serration at a time by pulling the ceramic element against the grooved side of the serration. For larger serrations: use a rolling motion to sweep the corner of the sharpener from one side of the serration to the other. Repeat until serration is sharp then move to the next serration.

Be Smart, Be Safe and Stay an Edge Above the Rest!

CAUTION: Knife sharpening is an inherently dangerous activity. Used properly this sharpener cannot hurt you but a carelessly handled blade or pointed object can.
